Tricksters also successfully in Portugal

Tricksters lacrosse club once again confirmed that it belongs to the elite European clubs. At the international tournament in Lisbon, the players of Tricksters Bratislava took the final second place when they lost to the home national team of Portugal 14:5 in the final. However, they represented the club and the Slovak Republic abroad very well.

Our boys entered the tournament with a smooth win over the English university team Imperial 14:0. This was followed by a narrow loss against Madrid, 3:4, and a win over Victorius Secret 3:2 ensured our boys advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament from second place.

In the semi-finals, they played against the winner of Group A, which was the American team Bonk Squad. The beginning with Trickster didn't work out at all and it looked like a real debacle. The opponent took a clear 5:1 lead and his players literally made a good day of us on the pitch. But then something happened that we are not used to with Slovak teams. The players showed their heart and gradually closed in on the opponent's lead. They even managed to turn the score to 5:8 with a series of 7 goals. The Americans were more than surprised, they themselves did not believe that such a thing had happened. In the end, they still managed to adjust the score with two front hits, but the Tricksters won a valuable victory with a skillful game and advanced to the finals of the tournament.

In Sunday's final against Portugal, our team opened the scoring, but after that the opponent dictated the game. Above all, the players from America made our defense a blast calendar and increased the score thanks to overpowering. In the third quarter, our boys still pushed the opponent, but they had neither the time nor the strength to turn around like in the semi-finals. Finally, the Tricksters lost 14:5 in the final and took 2nd place in the tournament. However, they left more than a good impression. With 3 players over 40 and 3 under 18, with only 12 players they were able to compete with better teams with more substitute players and reinforcements from American universities.

However, the best player of the MVP tournament was our David Furesz, who won this award for the second time after the tournament in Barcelona.
