NLWL Semifinals
This weekend in Radotin were played the first matches to gather points in the first semifinals of NLWL. Because of a serious lack of players Lax Ladies had to a play in 9+1 instead of 11+1. However, the girls did not get scared and fiercely fought 'till the end.
Their Saturday match Lax Ladies played against the recent victor of the league LCC Radotin. Despite of the fact that Lax Ladies had played two men down they did not give their opponent anything for granted. Mainly excellent work on the centre circle of the player of Tricksters Ladies – Romana Hostačná who won for Lax Ladies majority of the draws. Martina Tkáčová tried to support her team in the goal, who played as a substitution for their usual goalie. In spite of the final score 21:1 in favour of LCC Radotin Lax Ladies were content with the match as every one of them left her soul on the field and player her best.
On the second day Lax Ladies were gaining first points in the fight for the the third with Flamingo United – TJ Sokol I. Smíchov. The opponent had made Lax Ladies a favour and agreed to play nine on nine instead of eleven. The match was fairly even from the beginning. The first goal was scored by Romana Hostačná and got Lax Ladies into lead. This exciting game ended with a final score 12:7 for Flamingo United.
The last playing days of NLWL will be played in three weeks. The four participating teams will be playing a second round of eliminating semifinals. We hope that Lax Ladies will do at least as good job as they did this weekend and that more players of Tricksters Ladies will take part in the games as they desperately need more real lacrosse experience from matcher in order to be better players.
