The end of the spring season for Ladies

This Saturday were held in Prague last matches of the first phase of the Czech National league of women‘s lacrosse (NLŽL), where the teams tried to gain last priceless points in order to be able to compete for the best placement in the league. On Sunday, the second phase of the league started in which the teams are going to fight for finals.

As usually, Tricksters Ladies joined the Czech team LC Inferno who created a new team Lax Ladies TJ SKV on behalf of this season of the NLŽL. Saturday at noon Girls met on the field with their last opponent from the first phase of the league – LCC Chicks. The beginning of the match was balanced in power and Ladies tried to even the score. Lax Ladies had some problems with defense because of the slightly ineffective communication what caused few unnecessary goals. The offense played their part well and they tried to take every chance. An asset to the offense part of the team was surely the Slovak player Romana Hostačná who had scored three times that day. The game ended 10:7 in favor of LCC Chicks.

On Sunday was played the first match of the second phase of the league. The game of Lax Ladies TJ SKV versus Flaming United resulted in progress to the fight for better placement for the winner. Ladies had learned from their mistakes from the previous match and therefore they managed to cooperate and cause considerable problems to the opponents attackers. I must say that midfielders did a brilliant job in winning groundballs and draws. Our attack was less fortunate mainly because of the pressure of the other team’s defense and responsible work of their goalie. The field was really slippery after the Saturday night’s rain and it was sometimes like playing on the ice instead of grass. The match ended after an exciting second half with the victory of Flamingo United 10:7. After this game Lax Ladies occupy the 5th place in National league.

Tricksters Ladies would like to sincerely thank the team LC Inferno who accepted them in their ranks and so our Ladies could participate on the Minifield cup in autumn and also the Czech National League of women’s lacrosse this spring. Ladies will now continue practicing in order to be able to stand again on the field in Prague on the ReLAXed Cup and do their best.
