Slovaks in preparation

Slovaks played their last two preparatory games this year in chilly weather of coming Christmas holidays. Slovaks traveled to Vienna after a month again, to measure the strength with home team and even the Polish national team.

The first match against Austria not develops well from the beginning. Home team attacked most of the game, and Slovaks were absolutely miss this once in face offs. Nevertheless, in improvised defense with several newcomers gave good performance. Indeed, as it says „ground balls“ winning games. In the offense did not do Slovaks much and even if they scored, mostly just for editing the cosmetic outcome of final status 5:8.

The match with Poland was utterly different. This time, Slovaks had ground balls and when Polish did not come out in technique put aggressive checks over. In the chilly weather they broke more than two sticks by the slashes. It is not much to asses in this game even this was better as against Austria, but we can not and do not want to compare with Poland. Final score 8:1 is only a weak consolation.

Prior to the spring for the Slovaks is work on individual skills and game systems that prepare team for hard spring and summer.
