Tricksters just on the third place
Road to Vienna started bad for guys. Just 30 kilometers to Vienna they staid in car stuck because there was a cat crash of truck and car. Not too bad for tricksters because they took out they lacrosse sticks and started to play between cars on the highway. But for this reason they came to Vienna late and had just five minutes for warm up and changing clothes.
First game Tricksters played against team Switzerland and without warm up first period (played for three periods for 12 minutes) was terrible. Swiss won this period 2:0. In the second started play Tricksters better and goals came. They tied the game to 2:2. This was the final result at the end of game (again not traditional for lacrosse).
Second day Tricksters came out against Vienna Cherokees. In this game many new players played their first game. Especially for goalie Chylík was his first game ever. Tricksters won 9:2.
Next game against Austria national team needs Tricksters to win to be first in group matches. Even they started very well they just draw the game again 4:4. This result means that Tricksters play against Switzerland in the semifinal game.
Semifinal game was like a bad dream for Tricksters even they started very good ant they led 2:0. After that Swiss tied and led to 2:4. The end of game was in Tricksters hands. They tied the game to 4:4 and final fifteen minutes played on the half of Swiss national team. Game finished after four quarters by draw. We believe that we can win this game but in the over time came something unaccountable. CBO could not release one of our changing players to game, one of us was on penalty and referee started the game. There were two players more than Tricksters on the field. Unbelievable, Swiss score the winning goal and Tricksters will play just for third place.
Third place game against Vienna Cherokees was in Tricksters hands. They played well and lead soon. In this game new players played again and I need to say, very well. Best player of this game was Tomas Lichtner who scored seven goals and leaded his team to victory. Good work did Mark Lichtner on face off, he won every face off.
At the end we need to say: goalies and defensive players played very well, but offense still want to go to net even they play field lacrosse, not box lacrosse. We need to work on this on practices and we think results from this tournament help us for work in feature.
