Slovak lacrosse is ruled by Tricksters
Lacrosse club Tricksters Bratislava defended last year's title and enjoyed the trophy for the winner of the Slovak Lacrosse League for the tenth time in history.
The lacrosse league has been played in Slovakia since 2010, when we were the initiator of its establishment, mainly for the reason that clubs in Slovakia would have the opportunity to play and not have to travel for matches abroad, as we traveled for many years.
On Sunday, the last round of the Slovak Lacrosse League took place on the Tricksters Bratislava home field (Gymnázium Ladislava Novomeského). The Tricksters started the first match against Zvolen Punishers, who unexpectedly bit in Zvolen, and therefore it was important to concentrate on the match from the beginning. In the end, our boys left nothing to chance and did not let the opponent even threaten the goal, in which the legendary Stanislav Mráz scored a clean sheet.
In the second and last match of the season, the Tricksters played against the Skalické chieftains, whom they defeated 11:1 in the very first round. This time, the opponent was weakened by its best players, who did not travel to Bratislava, so it was expected that the Tricksters would win without any major problems. From the opening minutes, the orange and black began to fulfill this assumption and scored one goal after another. The relief came in the last quarter, when the opponent also scored 4 goals and adjusted the final result to 14:4.
The Tricksters thus won their tenth title without a single loss. They ended the year 2022 with another success in the club's long history.
