The finals of the Minifield cup

During the holiday weekend in October Ladies have visited Prague again. They have played their second and also the last tournament of the Minifield cup. After a successful cooperation from the other weekend they reunited with players of LC Inferno and played 5 matches.

On Saturday our girls stood on the field against FTVS Retro Teen. Both teams have played the first half of the game evenly and a bit mildly, although Retro started to dominate in the second half. In the end, Inferno+Tricksters could not catch up with Retro and they lost 4:7 for Retro. They played their second morning match against LCC Chicks, more warmed up and motivated than in the first match, and started with lively attitude. Our players have been outplaying the Chicks during the first half, however after the half- time, the score has been dramatically changing in disadvantage of Inferno and Ladies. The Chicks score few fast goals one after another and despite the effort of our girls the match ended 12:5 in favor of Chicks. Their last match of the day girls have played with Bagataway Bees from Plzeň. This time the match has been evolving in other way than last playing weekend. Our girls succeeded in dominating the game, did not make unnecessary mistakes and therefore they managed to beat the Bees. To our great pleasure our players won 10:5.

Thanks to the Saturday victory they have played their Sunday morning match against Vienna Monarchs. Ladies have already some experience with them from the Austrian league, which they played last season, but the recent team is a lot younger now. Inferno + Ladies went for the victory from the beginning. They gave their opponents no chance for success. After some time the atmosphere on the field became tense, although our players did not suffer from it. The final score of the match was 9:2 for Inferno and Ladies. The result of this game provided our girls a chance to play the placement game for 5th place. On the field, they met with red and white team LK Slávie Flamingo Praha. The first half was again more successful for our girls. They were able to hold the defense and successfully fight for ground-balls. In the second half everything has changed. Slávistky have completely changed their game and beat Inferno+Ladies 8:4. So Inferno and Ladies have won final 6th place.

In spite of the seemingly unsuccessful score these matches are a tremendous experience for our young Tricksters Ladies. For now, it is gaining new experience and practicing the skill they’ve been practicing so hard. Therefore we believe that they will unceasingly improve their skill and will be more and more successful.
