The debut of Tricksters Ladies at the Czech minifield cup

Last weekened, after a long break our Ladies participated in a session of the Minifield cup in Czech republic. As the women’s team still does not have enough members, the Ladies joined a team from Prague, LC Inferno. Two teams have played 5 matches together during the weekend.

The Czech Minifield cup is played on a standard field with cages moved closer to the middle. There are 7 players and a goalie in the game. Matches are shortened to 15 minutes per a half. In the tournament have participated 8 teams from Austria, Czech republic and Slovakia.

The opponents of the girls in their first match were players from Jižní Město, however despite of the advantage of the number of the players, Inferno and Tricksters could not have outplayed them, what has resulted in the score 16:03 for Jižní Město. The next match for our team was against one of the best teams of the tournament – LCC Girlz, which consists of the players of Czech national team. In spite of no scored goals, it was definitely a match which has taught our girls a lot. The final score was 21:0. In the last match on Saturday was Inferno+ Tricksters vs Plzeň. During the first half of the game our girls were in the lead, although the players from Plzeň did not let for long. They evened the score and did not give their opponents a further chance to score. Forces of both teams were even in the beginning, but the state of mind of our players made no good and our girls had no more strenght to reverse the course of the game and thay had to do with the score 7:4 for Plzeň.

During the Sunday placement matches were girls from Tricksters and Inferno more teamed up which has evidently improved in the quality of their game. They won their first match versus Slávia 2:1 what assured them the placing match with Plzeň for the 5th place. The opponenent gave them a hard time and the team from Plzeň has rightfully won 10:03.

Even though the Ladies have won only one match, it was doubtlessly a good practice, which improved their skills. At the tournament also participated our new player Barbora Kubánková, who despite the short time during which she has been part of the team, she managed to keep the tempo with older players. The next weekend is another tournament of the Minifield cup. We shall see, if the girls will do better and have more luck.
