Why I want to go on world cup in Manchester 2010?

Hi, my name is Pavol Kopernicky (Tricksters LT). Represent a native land I perceive as a natural goal of all athletes. I would like to represent the Slovak republic in lacrosse at any top event and it does not matter whether I experience victory on field or between the boards. The pleasure from the game remains the same. I realize that I am not the young one anymore and initially I wanted to end up my player career in this year. However, it is the hope to play for the Slovak national team at the top world lacrosse event, as well as support of my wife and players from the team which motivates me to go on. I wish that interest to play for the Slovak national team would show each player. That is to say that in Slovakia we will never have such wide player’s base that we can afford to build purely field or box lacrosse national team or purely field or box lacrosse clubs. Obviously, it is possible to go by a separate way. In this case I am convinced that perspective to break through the TOP lacrosse positions of the world will remain just a fairytale and the Slovak national team will be always just a matter of group of recreational lacrosse players which will make from the World Championships only a pleasure trip to „their type of lacrosse“. I want to believe that the dream of most of the players in our clubs is not only playing for Slovakia but in the jersey with the double-crosse on the chest also to win.
