HOCKEY, WINE AND LACROSSE

Fortynine years old hockey legend, former player of Vancouver Canucks, San Jose Sharks, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers and New Jersey Devils but also member of the NHL and IIHF Hall of Fames Igor Larionov arrived in these days from Detroit to Bratislava to introduce in the Bratislava River Center its own California wine brand. Last year during the friendly match between Slovan Bratislava and Tampa Bay Larionov visited our capital on invitation of his friend an American businessman in Slovakia long-term living Eric Assimakopoulos.

Larionov has achieved in the hockey practically all it is possible to achieve. He is a four-times World Champion, a two times Olympic winner and thee times holder of the Stanley Cup. Together with Vladimir Krutov and Sergej Makarov they made a famous attack „KLM“ which many experts believe to be the best in history of international hockey. Today Larionov is a busy with his scouting job and with wine distribution. It is possible to buy his collection already here in Slovakia at the Bratislava River Center in IWSC shop. The presence of Larionov at the Bratislava River Center caught attention of Tricksters LT Manager Pavol Kopernicky who also used to play actively ice hockey. In this occassion besides discussion about wine and hockey the topic turn on lacrosse as well! Igor knows lacrosse very well and he likes it. He even has close to lacrosse. His good friend is te owner one of the biggest lacosse and hockey equipment in the world – Warrior Sports company! We all in the club believe that this information will not be forgotten and the meeting of our manager with Igor Larionov will bring some pleasant surprise.. :)
