Lacrosse season ending in big style

Updated Final round of NFLL resumed on the 3rd and 4th of October, this time on Malešice home base. Tricksters fought in direct fight with Slávia Prague for the final fourth place and as well be decided the master of NFLL season 2009.

Saturday match against Slávia Prague played Tricksters with the team painted on their faces. This initiative resulted from the players, because our long-time goalkeeper, our friend and really great man, Stasho decided for few months to leave the daily bustling lifestyle and travel, explore new countries, new people and help develop lacrosse in India and Tibet. Throughout the game, he looked that he enjoys his last match of this season because he erased opponent players like a „eraser“ smudges from the pen. Defense did highly tactical game, and attack play good game so Orange started clearly dominated in the game. Slávia’s players did not bear it and too often did not just fouls but also a lot of gamesmanships, after which the passions on both sides rapidly raised up. Some of them were punish some not, such as spittle to the face of Ivan Ivančin by player number 2. This situation occurred after fighting each other and both valves have their heads at all times. Even in situation like this Tricksters did not lose heads and continue in uncompromising play. Finally Tricksters surprisingly easily handled battle and won 14:3 and already consolidated fourth place in the final table.

On Sunday game against home Malešice, Tricksters came out with they want to torment opponent a bit and not give them any ball for free. After the initial „face-off“ our players tasted to rival properly, from what result three quick goals in the home goal and surprised expression on Malešice player’s faces. They first shot on Tricksters goal in the middle of the first quarter, when they were able to reduce and equalize particularly thanks to undisciplined behavior of our defense. Tricksters led in the most of game and Malešice had to get out their best player Mrlík – He was saving for the game against Radotín. Especially because of his experience, the Prague club managed to reverse the result and retain a real chance to play for the first place in the league. The result 10:8 is pitch but it showing that the Tricksters have the quality on which they can build for the future. If we look at the rosters of other teams, except Radotín, Jižní Město and Tricksters players from all other clubs played for teams even if they are not juniors. Even the recent results it is clear, that work with the players in our club is on good track.

As shown later, just Malesice is winner of this year's edition of NFLL, when they beat Radotin in overtime 11:12. The most quality game of this year followed a few dozen spectators. Those who resist until dusk saw a beautiful and dramatic game, in which Malesice improved performance in the second half with greater desire to win were able to take valuable points from Radotín. Win of the title is confused by deferred game between Radotin – Slavia. Probably Radotín calculate too much and lost three points were missing to win another cup. That's only philosophizing, in any event, congratulations to the players of Malešice to valuable success after seven years, that they really deserved.

We believe, that latest results will motivate our players and move them further in their work to continue doing good name them, as well the club Tricksters.
