Why I want to go on world cup 2010 in Manchester?
Hi, my name is Martin Kramár (Tricksters Lacrosse Team) and since childhood I do sport. First, I played soccer, swam and then in my twenty-three years I succumbed to lacrosse. From when I joined the club (only one in Slovakia, now there are three), it has undergone major changes. From the beginning, I heard from people in the club what it is nice to play lacrosse, and apparently there are also World Championships in lacrosse and right I have the opportunity to participate. It was like a dream for me because, when I was just beginning and it seemed to me unbelievable. Unfortunately, lacrosse is not Olympic sport and thus the most important event which is about the entire lacrosse world is now the World Championships.
The World Cup, we should go as early as 2006, however, they were held in Canada and we were not able to get money to pay. The sense of frustration, I would not want you to enjoy the experience. At least I felt so.
After our participation in the European Championships in 2008, I said it would be wonderful, to meet in the game and play against players like Rabil, Schwartzman or Powell brothers. Silence, I envied to Finland national team because they played against Canada and picked up the sport legend Gary Gait. But it just has to be something amazing, this must be a dream! I would like to be me and to all who as a representative team will meet this dream to the Championship, I could tell that it was worth it, that all those hours of training, matches, not understand views and bickering with friends, girl or parents stood for, and that I have fulfilled my dream.
I think I am stronger than I was in Finland ME 2008. I think I am ready to fulfill my dream and represent the country in which I was born, although that seems only football and hockey. I hope that just me and the team all we can that there is also lacrosse. Sport in which there is a lot of money (almost none) but for it to do all of your heart that many football players or hockey players missing. I believe that I can, collect the required amount, which is really high, especially for boys aged 16 to 21, collected 1200 Euros is not the knack of for working people.
