Aleš Hřebeský Memorial 2009

Tricksters lacrosse team played on the biggest European lacrosse tournament. They played against the best lacrosse teams in Europe and North America during four days.

Tricksters started games against Adanac Warriors, team from Canada. Slovaks were loosing in first minute 2:0 after goals of Mills and Leeming. At the end of second minute Purgat decreased but Adanac captain answer soon. Final score was clear to Canada’s team 11:2.

Tricksters in the second match played against Tigers, home team from Prague on Friday. This game was really amazing. Tigers lead 2:0 but tricksters turned the score to 3 to 2 then 3 to 4, 4 to 4, 4 to 5 and one second before end of game Juras score equalizing goal. Final score was 6 to 7 for Tigers after penalty shots.

Third match played Tricksters against most successful team in history of Czech league Malesice. Malesice beat Tricksters easily 8 to 0 and Tricksters finished 4th in basic group.

Saturday and Sunday were days of playing in play off tree. First game played Tricksters against Pardubice. This game was pretty close. Pardubice led 2:0 yet but Tricksters turn over to 3 to 2. There were a lot of penalties in this game, because referees were not like on lacrosse game but on soccer game. Pardubice won 6 to 3. Tricksters are going to play games for 13th to 16th place.

In the last Saturday game crush Tricksters to Cherokees. This game was led by Tricksters all the time and score was raising. Final score 6:1. Tricksters will play for 13th place game.

Tricksters played against Biber– mix team of Berlin and Bielefeld in the last game of tournament. Score raising same like in previous game and final ended on 7:2

Tricksters finished on 13th place like the last year when they played as a mix team. It was good because we have new young players who have good feature if they stay and will play lacrosse.
