Tricksters showed heart: no substitutions, homegrown players, and debutants
The latest round of the Slovak Lacrosse League brought an exceptional story for Tricksters Bratislava—one that goes beyond the results themselves. Our team entered the matches with a significantly reduced roster, without the possibility of substitutions, yet still managed to deliver full-fledged and hard-fought performances.
No substitutions, but maximum effort
Playing an entire game without substitutions is extremely demanding in a dynamic sport like lacrosse. This makes the performance of the Tricksters players stand out even more—they left everything on the field. Every duel, every sprint, and every defensive play was proof of determination and strong team spirit.
Homegrown players as the foundation of the team
This performance is even more remarkable considering that the lineup consisted exclusively of players developed within our club. Tricksters once again proved that long-term work with youth pays off and can produce players ready to face even the toughest challenges.
Debuts to remember
This round was also special in terms of individual milestones. Leo Požgaj and Ľuboš Dubovec both made their first appearances in the Slovak Lacrosse League. For both players, it was a major step in their sporting careers. Special recognition goes to Požgaj, who at just 15 years old showed courage and potential that promise a bright future.
Results are only part of the story
Although the match results can be found on the club’s official website, they were not the main focus this time. What mattered more was the character the team showed—fighting spirit, unity, and the determination to never give up, even under difficult conditions.
