Bad new year beginning

During the weekend there was another year of the New Years Cup, which is also regularly attended by the Slovenský lakrosový klub Tricksters Bratislava.

Unfortunately, this has not happened to our players this time and we have finished 1–4 in the tournament. Tricksters won only in the opening match against Austrian Graz 6: 3, but then they lost all four matches in a row and in the tournament they won last year finished in 8th place.

In the second match, the orange black against the Maleščany, who managed to win 5: 1. It is true that the 2: 1 goal fell in special circumstances when there was up to seven opponents on the pitch. Then they decided the opponents' opponents and the first loss in the tournament was in the world.

In the third match, our boys came against Olten Saints. Under 3: 0 for the opponent, our game seemed to play smoothly. Subsequently, Tricksteri managed to ramp up the match and turn the score to 5: 3, respectively. 6: 4th in this state again their own lack of discipline, the match was lost and the match turned and won 9: 6.

On Sunday, our boys played an early match against the Russian team Hero City, which was very balanced and again, thanks to the exclusion of our boys and the technical mistakes of the opponent, managed to win 7: 5.

The tournament has shown to our boys that Lacrosse is currently pushing through milestones and needs to work continuously to make our Tricksters Club again a European elite.
