Aleš Hřebeský Memorial 2009
Again there will 16 teams will compete in this year Aleš Hřebeský Memorial. We are happy to annonce that another lacrosse nation will appear in Radotín – Turku Titans from Finland will be the first team from Scandinavia taking part in the tourney. There will be two teams from Canada this year: Adanac Warriors from Halifax are coming again and Ajax Pickering Rock is this year newcomer. Megamen Boston will defend their title from the last year, LC United consisting mostly from Philadelphia and Baltimore players will be the second US team. Again, teams from Austria, Germany, Slovakia, England, Ireland and Czech Rep. will take part in the tournament.
The teams were divided to four baskets according to their final standing in the last annual or their estimated quality. The draw will take place on April 2nd, 2009 at 7 p. m. CET and you can watch it on-line on www.videosport.cz. The playing system will be the same as last year. There will be four round-robin groups of four, two teams from each group will get to play-off, remaining teams will play for final 9th–16th place.
