Slovaks in Budapest lost just in the final

Lacrosse club Tricksters Bratislava with several newcomers finished their journey at the Budapest New Years Cup 2015 in the final of the tournament, where they lost to Vienna.

Tricksters and Monarchs meeting each other in the finals of the tournament from the time when the Slovak lacrosse club started play this tournament. In 2014 Tricksters won 5: 3, this time Monarch made a revenge and won in the final 7 to 5.

Tricksters from due to all tournament showed despite less experience in their councils will at that time also a hot candidate for the title. On Friday in the first game consult with the home team BLAX 8:1. In the second match of the day, won against Swiss Toblerone 11:3 and finally Friday finished with win over Latvia’s team Mitava 7:2.

On Saturday our boys played two games against the third and fourth team from Group B Graz from Austria, who defeated 9:1 and Serbian Zombies 7:3.

Final game of the tournament , did not go as we expected and Monarchs succumbed to two goals win. The main reason for the lost was losing faceoffs. While during the tournament Tricksters won 90% of all faceoffs and dominated in this part of game, in the final match it was quite different. Boys fought like lions and heaven certain errors in rallies and unfortunate goal two minutes before the end of the game could even end up completely different.

In any case, the participation in the tournament is a good experience especially for less experienced players who can be proud of themselves.
