We brought three points from Prague
Last weekend held the closing round of National Field Lacrosse League (NFLL). Our guys traveled to Prague with an ambition to fight for the overall fourth place in the final standings. In order to achieve that, they had to steal points from Jizni Mesto or Malesice.
On Saturday the boys played against Jizni Mesto, a team reinforced by some American players, which previously defeated Radotin, ensuring themselves a better position before the league finals. Not even slightly did our boys fear the opponent, who surprisingly seemed to be in some sort of spasm. However, owing it to bad play of Tricksters in the second and last quarter, “Jiznak” turned the game in their favor and won 14:9.
Sunday’s game against the former league champion Malesice, a team that hasn’t been awarded a single point yet turned into a contest for the overall fourth place in the season-end standings, but also for the first points of the season for the yellow-blue colors. Malesice started off better and grabbed an early lead 3:0. Tricksters pulled back together and tied the game at 5:5. The match in the second half was then in control of Tricksters, who exploited from opponent’s errors in passing and punished them with goals. The final time score favored Tricksters 12:7.
If nothing unforeseen is to happen and Radotin wins over Slavia, Tricksters will end up 4th at the end of the current NFLL season.
The league final is scheduled to 13th of October in Prague and will feature Jizni Mesto and Radotin.
