Tricksters Lacrosse finished third at Austrian Lacrosse Open 2013

Tricksters lacrosse team finished third place at the ninth grade tournament Austrian Lacrosse Open. After last year fourth place is it again moves up. Tricksters lost only once throughout the tournament, with home national team in the game to advance to the final of tournament. The victory was celebrated by players of Zurich Lions, who defeated the home Austrians 7:3.

Tricksters unlike other teams, lead the way to play games with their own players, which is priority to development Slovak lacrosse. Even at this tournament happened that the teams borrowed players and results were sometimes unexpected.

Tricksters in the Friday games consult Mitava 4:1 and Graz 10:0. On Saturday the boys in orange jerseys met in the quarter finals the English team DreadLax, who defeated 10:1.

In the semifinals lost with the Austrian national team 2:4. The battle was really balanced. Both teams and individual players are very familiar with and know each other very well. Tricksters led 1–0 and for this state referees did not count them regular goal, because they thought that the shot which crash the net went outside the goal. Austrians managed turnover of the score to 1:3. Tricksters then returned to play four minutes before the end, when scored Lichtner, but home team kept a tight victory. In the end, they score the fourth goal and deservedly advanced to the final of tournament. Our boys had to satisfy „only“ the fight for the third place.

The 3rd place game was against the boys from Mitava, the team which started with appearances in the tournament. This time the match clearly in Tricksters hands but very nervous. The game took a few battles, while Boris Seversky finished a match after just two minutes when he received a penalty to the end of the game. In other addition of game Hamsik hurt and Tricksters was finishing game just in ten players. Although this „orange“ managed to increase the lead, and won 10:3. Tricksters lacrosse team captured the final third place.
