Tricksters lacrosse team celebrate 10th anniversary

Slovak lacrosse club Bratislava Tricksters, will celebrate in the 2013 10th year anniversary. On this occasion, during the year, you will be able to meet with various actions, where you can meet players of our club.

Although the name of the club Tricksters [,trikstₔrs] is still to some non-English speaking individuals problem, for ten years Tricksters really slim enough. The club went through good and bad, and eventually built a name that means something in Europe.

With the idea of lacrosse in Slovakia came Mark Lichtner at the beginning of the new millennium, when a group of friends began to give Indian entertainment. Over time, the entertainment became a real sport and in 2003 was the first lacrosse club Tricksters Bratislava in Slovakia and Slovak Lacrosse Federation, as an umbrella body of lacrosse in Slovakia established.

Tricksters stands behind the idea of the Danube Lacrosse Conference (DLC) and team started a journey in lacrosse world.

Another objective in Slovakia lacrosse was engaging in the international competitions such as the European Championships and the Worlds. It succeeded in 2008, when the members of our club under the leadership of Ed Kostolansky participated in the European Championships in Lahti, where they finished at historical 12th place.

Another time brought many changes. Some people came, some gone, new clubs were established, ladies team by Tricksters and Tricksters participated in the World Cup in Manchester in 2010 (17th place), indoor world championships in the Czech Republic and the European Championships in Amsterdam (12th place).

In 2008 was founded Tricksters Cup, lacrosse tournament, which annually invites clubs from around the world to measure the forces in the fight for eared trophy. In 2010, Slovak lacrosse league (SLL), was found and winners were always so far only players from Tricksters lacrosse team.

The future of lacrosse is what should interest every right lacrosse player. Year 2014 will be for the Tricksters lacrosse important again, since the World Cup will be held in Denver, USA and to participate in this event should be the main goal of all lacrosse players in Slovakia. It will be the biggest tournament in the history, and meet stars like Rabil, Powell, Polanko or others is not every day situation.

Tricksters will be preparing themselves and hope that they will again put together a team that will represent Slovakia behind the big sea.
