Tricksters Cup
This weekend was held in Bratislava the second annual women’s Tricksters cup. Our girls were after weeks of preparation ready to make this weekend unforgettable. This year attended the tournament teams from Vienna Cherokees, Budapest Blackberries and of course our Ladies, combined with girls from Prievidza.
In new jerseys, with a new cry were Ladies on Saturday morning ready to leave their hearts on the pitch and show, what have they learned during the past year. In the first match stood Ladies against a though opponent, the Austrian Cherokees. The game was very equal, on the end of the firs half was the score 3:3, but unfortunately the Austrian girls managed to take the lead and the match ended with score 7:9. for Cherokees. In the second match played Ladies against the hungarian Blackberries. This time Ladies clearly dominated, they tried a lot of different game combinations and also the newer players weren’t afraid to catch their chances. The match ended 12:2 for Ladies. In the last match won the Cherokees, after playing against the Hungarian girls, with the result 10:2. In the evening after a tour around the old city, met all the teams at a party, where they all loosened up a little after the hard day.
The second day started of again with the match Ladies against Cherokees. Although it took time till the girls woke up in the first half, but in the second they made sure it was a very dramatic game. Unfortunately were the Austrian girls luckier and they managed to shoot the winning goal in the last minute and the match ended 10:11. In the second match tortured our girls the Hungarians a little and the match ende 15:0. In the last match of Tricksters cup won Cherokees over Blackberries 7:4.
Overall ended our girls on a beautiful second place, first came the Vienna Cherokees and the third place went to Budapest Blackberries. MVP for our team deservedly earned our new captain Ľubica Štubňová. It was a tough, but great weekend, full of lacrosse atmosphere, beautiful memories and new skills. Long live Tricksters cup 2013!
