Tricksters did not defend Austrian open title
Slovak lacrosse club Tricksters defeated at Austrian open 2012
Tricksters well started when they beat Graz 7:3 and Bundeswehr 9:1, suffering quarter final victory against Bulgarian Khans but only 5:1.
Then the offensive power went down in the semifinals, when the attack scored only three times while rival Karlsruhe Storm four times, and this obstruct our guys to defense the title. In the subsequent battle for third place Tricksters were able to respond just to the initial opponent goals until score 3:3, after that scored goals only Monarchs. Slovaks could not hold ball longer in attack and for defense the ball was too timid to be able to get the opponent playing well under pressure and causing them to lose the ball. Tricksters lost against Monarchs at their field 9:4 and after last year's success and victory in the tournament went Tricksters only with “potato medals”.
Let us hope that these results were a good school for our team and that guys took lesson to the other fights in preparation for the European Championships to be held no less than a month in Amsterdam.
