The spring has finally come!

This Sunday, after an unbelievably long winter break the Ladies stood again on the field in Prague in order to recall their lacrosse skills.

After waking up really early, a long journey and despite the small number of players our girls were ready to join forces with the team Lax Ladies TJ SKV against SK Lacrosse Jižní Město. Although we were a colorful mixture of players we were by no means afraid of our opponents.

In spite of the fact that our mixed team had played together last spring, the line-up changed by then. However, the most important change for our girls was that they could try to play a regular lacrosse game in number 11 + 1 players. It seems trivial, but playing with offside rules after two years could be a little confusing. But after all, Ladies regained their orientation in the game, overcame the fatigue and took the plunge and played with best they got.

The first half the two teams were pretty even, we tried to scoop every ground ball, bring to naught every attempt to overcome our defense and to score. After the halftime the score has changed in favor of Jižní Mésto and we lost after a hard battle 2:10. Despite the seemingly unsuccessful match we had a good feeling from our work, because we did our best.

As it was a first match of a new season, we are still full of enthusiasm and willing to train harder than ever so we would be able to play better and even better each new match. We believe, we can really profit and learn a lot from experienced players in Czech league and we are ready make use of it.
